PSPP Pension Dispute Resolution Process
Have you recently been denied a request that affects your pension benefit, or do you disagree with an interpretation of the Plan text?
If you disagree with a decision that affects your pension plan status or benefit, you may have that decision reviewed by PSPP’s pension benefit administrator.
Step 1: Request an Informal Review
You may request an informal review by the Plan’s service provider’s Client Service Advocate (CSA). The Client Service Advocate ensures that the Plan’s service provider delivers on its commitment to members and pensioners to provide excellent client service.

The CSA will review your request and provide you with an initial response within five business days. It may take some time for the CSA to provide you with a final response depending on the level of review required. The CSA will closely examine your request, the information in your file and the decision. They will ensure the Plan’s provisions and/or administrative procedures and policies have been correctly followed and applied. Once completed, you will receive a response that summarizes the outcome of the review.
As part of the CSA’s review, you may be asked for additional documentation. By providing the CSA with this information, you are consenting to the collection, use and disclosure of that information by the CSA for the Dispute Resolution process.
Step 2: Request an Administrative Review
If you disagree with the outcome of the informal review, you may request an administrative review by the Plan’s service provider’s Issues Management Advisory Committee (IMAC).
Your administrative review must be delivered to IMAC within 60 days from the date you received the response with which you disagree. Your written request must include a detailed explanation of the objections to the decision, a description of any believed related errors or omissions, and a statement of the relief sought.
IMAC will review the submission and PSPP Corporation will respond to you within a reasonable time with the final decision.
